The Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities - GCUB, was formally organized as an association of university leaders on November 27 in 2008, at a ceremony held at the University of Coimbra. Its composition includes federal, state, religious and national community college.
Its mission is to promote inter-institutional and international integration through mobility programs for teachers and students, contributing to the process of internationalization of the university network.
Currently, the GCUB offers International Programs and Undergraduate Program Alliances for Education and Training (PAEC).
It brings together the following brazilian universities (click on the links to go to their website and check out the full list of institutions):
- 55 Federal Universities (including older and bigger institutions);
- 16 State Universities (including the São Paulo State institutions);
- 06 Community and Confessional Universities (including PUCs).
And, further more, 35 International Universities.
